Sleeking, zu Deutsch glätten, ermöglicht das partielle Hervorheben oder das Aufbringen von Metallic-Folien auf einzelne Motive, Formen oder Schriften ähnlich dem Spot-Lackieren und dem Prägen. Hierbei wird mit einem tonerbasierendem Digitaldrucksystem (z.B. HP-Indigo oder XEROX) auf einen bereits matt-laminierten Druckbogen bzw. auf einen Offsetdruckbogen das Motiv, welches hervorgehoben werden soll, gedruckt. Anschließend werden diese Druckbögen mit der Sleeking-Folie mit einem geeigneten Laminiersystem verarbeitet und dabei die Tonerfläche sehr stark geglättet oder eine Metallic-Folie aufgebracht.
