IDEAL 4606 CC P-5 ist ein kompakter Großmengen-Aktenvernichter mit Trichteraufsatz und automatischem Öler - auch für Knüllpapier, mit Partikelschnitt 2x15 mm und Sicherheitsstufe P-5. Ein Aktenvernichter oder auch Shredder, Reißwolf oder Papierwolf genannt dient der Vernichtung und Entsorgung vertraulicher Dokumente. Das Schneidwerk des Aktenvernichters schneidet die Dokumente dabei in so kleine Teile, dass die Informationen der Dokumente nicht mehr verwertbar sind bzw. nur mit unangemessen hohem Aufwand wieder zusammengefügt werden können. Aktenvernichter schneiden das Papier in schmale Streifen (Streifenschnitt). Bessere Geräte schneiden zusätzlich horizontale Schnitte, die man als Kreuzschnitt, Partikelschnitt oder auf Englisch als Cross-Cut bezeichnet. Neben Papier können moderne Aktenvernichter auch Kreditkarten sowie Disketten, CDs und DVDs shreddern. Einige Geräte sind mit einem büroklammerfesten Schneidwerk ausgestattet. Einsatz finden Aktenvernichter vor allem im Büroalltag , werden aber auch im privaten Bereich vermehrt eingesetzt.
