Our Bookbinder PREMIUM grey board is a particularly high-quality and extra-smoothed grey board in manual bookbinding quality.

Graupappe wird auch Buchbinderpappe, Modellbaupappe oder Maschinengraupappe genannt. Graupappen werden vom Herstellungsverfahren in Wickelpappe (Handpappe) und Maschinenpappe unterschieden. Buchbindergraupappe ist ein vielseitiges Material, das in der Buchbinderei als auch in anderen handwerklichen Bereichen Verwendung findet. Sie eignet sich für Buchbindearbeiten, Kalenderrückwände, Verpackungslösungen oder auch im Modellbau. In der Buchbinderei wird Buchbindergraupappe oft als Kernmaterial für Buchdeckel oder den Buchrücken (Schrenz, Rückenschrenz) verwendet. Als Teil der Buchdecke haben die Buchdeckel die Aufgabe, den Buchblock vor Beschädigungen zu schützen. Buchdeckel sind meistens mit Einbandstoffen wie Leder, Gewebe, Papier oder Kunststoff bezogen und können mit Veredelungen wie Offsetdruck, Siebdruck, Prägedruck, Drucklacken oder Stanzungen versehen werden. Graupappe gibt es in unterschiedliche Qualitäten, (z.B. unterschiedliche Grammatur, Dicke, Festigkeit und Oberflächenbeschaffenheit), die sich hinsichtlich ihrer Eigenschaften und Anwendungsbereiche unterscheiden können. Satinierte Graupappe ist eine Variante der Buchbindergraupappe, bei der die Oberfläche einseitig oder zweiseitig extra geglättet wurde. Ihre glänzende Oberfläche verleiht den Produkten ein elegantes und professionelles Erscheinungsbild, wodurch sie sich ideal für anspruchsvolle Anwendungen eignet. Es ist wichtig, die spezifischen Anforderungen und Anwendungen zu berücksichtigen, um die passende Qualität von Buchbindergraupappe auszuwählen.
