RM Antistatic Spray is a valuable tool used to reduce or prevent static charges on surfaces. Antistatic spray is often applied to materials such as plastics, paper, textiles or other surfaces to minimise static charges. Static charges can cause printed materials such as paper, cardboard or plastic to stick together. This can lead to processing problems if the materials are to be cut, punched, folded or otherwise further processed. Furthermore, static electricity can attract dust and dirt particles that can affect print quality. They can lead to blurred images, spots or other defects. The active ingredients in anti-static sprays form a thin protective layer on surfaces that keeps dust, dirt and other particles away from sensitive surfaces. The use of antistaticum in print finishing helps to reduce processing problems, improve print quality and minimise safety risks that can be caused by static discharges.
